He enjoyed sight seeing along the way to visit friends and had a great trip. They played three games on Cup Day - first game winning 8-3; second game win- ning 3-1 but the last game los- ing to Van Camp by one goal. The team finishes up the year with a team swim and barbecue at the Cooke's home this week. Fred and Mildred Puckrin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with many many family members, neighbors and friends at the Latcham Centre this past Sunday. What a turn out! When I got there it was standing room only. The hall was decorated lovely and every- one was having a great time. Motor stolen Durham Regional Police re- port that a $500 Mercury out- board motor was stolen from Causeway Bait and Tackle on Highway 7A sometime over- night between August 26-27. Police are continuing their in- vestigation into the incident. Hit on head A 30-year-old Scugog Town- ship man was admitted to Com- munity Memorial Hospital ear- ly Friday morning after being struck in the head by an un- known assailant. Durham Regional Police re- port that the man was sitting in the Trader Sam's parking lot waiting for friends at about 2 a.m. when someone approached him from behind and struck him on the head with an unknown object. ~~ Miser 25 He was taken to hospital where he remained overnight for observation. : Two vehicles were damaged in the same parking lot some- time Thursday night or Friday morning. Police are investigating both incidents.
