She took us on an ex- tended trip to Thailand. She really made us see how differ- ent it must be to live in this far east country. Joyce is a sister of Geordie Beare. Many friends who knew her when she lived in Greenbank so long ago came out to hear her. Mrs. Audrey Sparks of Saska- toon, another cousin of Geordie Beare, is visiting Mrs. Ruby Beare. On Sunday, it was Rally Sun- day in Greenbank Church, where the teachers were intro- duced, as well as the officers of the Sunday School. Awards were presented by Mrs. Shep- herd and Jan Robinson. Many received awards for attendance. Jill and Ken Hunter, who had last June. I have a grandson, Scott West, who graduated as a Chemical Engineer from St. Francis of Xavier University 1n Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who is now in training at the RCMP headquarters in Regina, to be- come a Mountie. Also my grandson, Keith Carver, gradu- ated as a Pilot and Parachutist in the American Army "Rang- ers" in Alabama. We only hope President Clinton does not send these young soldiers to Somal- ia! Muriel Gibson won the Re- gerve Champion Ribbon for her beautiful quilt in Uxbridge Fair. Congratulations! Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ianson were Frances and Gor- don Walker of Hepworth.
