Helping the agents were Nicholas Herold (an Easter Seals child), his older brother Paul, and several Easter Seals families. Century 21 would like to thank Homestead Furniture and Appliances for the use of their parking lot and the water, and Mayor Howard Hall for supporting the agency's efforts. Van Camp, Lorna Edgerton, Shirley Magill, Reta Birkett, Verna Chapman and he was predeceased by his sister Wilma Harris. Jim attended school in Cart- wright Township and at a young age went to work for Gen- eral Motors. After 17 years at G.M. he left to work as a Groom of Standard Bred horses. He worked for Coke Training Stables in Norval until April of | this year when his cancer be- came too painful and he had to be admitted to hospital. A funeral service was held in the McDermott-Panabaker Chapel of the Wagg Funeral Home in Port Perry on Friday, July 30 with Rev. Dale Davis of- ficiating. Pallbearers were Wesley Coke, Duane Beers, Roy Gra- ham, Grant McLaughlin, Brian Magill and Neil McLaughlin. Jim was buried beside his mother and father in Devitts Cemetery. It was a busy place with many displays, activities - and entertainment. All ages seemed to enjoy themselves. It was especially nice to get a clos- er look at the work completed at the Head Memoxjal Church and the new acreage fequired by the Museum. Congratulations to the staff and volunteers of the Museum! ~ The Golden Slippers will be heading north to Collingwood on Sept. 24 for the Great North- ern Exhibition with two shows at 2 and 4 p.m. We'll be think- ing of you.
