Paul and Shirley Baster and their daughters had Thanksgiv- ing with her parents, Jim and Clara Jones in Uxbridge. Grace and Floyd Evans cele- brated the holiday well. On Thursday they were guests of son Murray and Melodie. On Friday, they were with Elmer and' Ruth Wilson and on Sun- Youth. Group to meet ro It's been a great Thanksgiv- ing weekend and here in Utica, 'Mother Nature has left a lot of 'work for everyone to rake up, as 'an awful lot of our beautiful leaves have left the trees. For a while yet, we can still see some of the colors of Fall as we look around and I find that this area is as nice as any when it comes to colors. Enjoy it while we can, did everyone see those white flakes on Saturday and Sun- day? There were 10 tables of eu- chre on Friday night in the hall with the following winners: La- dies First Vera Brown, Second Edna Manns, who also had the most lone hands (seven), Third Clara Warren. Men's First Carl Gimblett, Second Elwood Manns, Third Harry Hill Freeze-out winners were Mary Hill and Irene Redshaw; Verna Slute and George Harper were second. Draws were won by Ed Skinner, Clara Warren and Irene Fielding. Gord Wilson won the 50/50 draw. There will be another euchre in two weeks, Oct. 22. The Youth Group will meet this Friday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Sandra Kerry for a discussion and movie night. Please bring $2 for munchies and expenses. Church service on Sunday will be in Utica at 11 a.m. Pat Asling will be speaking about her work in Belize and in the evening she will be showing wh RRS, slides. Special envelopes will be provided for anyone wishing to donate through the church. The Sunday School is packing a large basket of food on Sunday which is World Wide Food Day and the children are asked to each bring an article of food, ei- ther box or tin, when they come to service. Study Group meet at Utica Church on Sunday at 10 a.m. Junior choir will hold a prac- tice, also at 10 a.m. Senior choir will meet this Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Sobil home.
