It's that time of year again and Port Perry High School is getting right into the swing of things. On Oct. 21 PPHS held a fundraiser for the children in Durham. The fund- raiser was a set of fun, well . planned activities for the younger children in Grades 1-4, however, they did get one lucky Grade 6 class. The activity room was in Gym C, and had many games. A few were "eat the apple off the string and guess the monster." "I feel happy, I'm having agreat time," said little Stacey Simon. Remy McCoy's comment was "I'm having fun!" The activity room was a real hit, but Gym A- B held the most fun, according . to the kids. In one half of the gym there was a haunted yard. The kids were thrilled as Amanda Warne chased them around in her scarecrow costume. The grave dancers danced the kids right out of their skins. There was also a sensor room where the kids screamed at what felt like brains underneath their hands. In the other half of the gym, po- lice officer Sam Fox from Dur- ham Regional Police Force told the children about Halloween safety. The kids listened well and I'm sure we'll have a safe . Halloween. Thanks Sam! After Sam the kids were daz- zled and amazed by Peter Loughran who shocked the kids with his magic. As I looked at the kids after one of Peter's fab- ulous stunts I heard children whispering to each other "how seat, air conditioner, power windows & locks, anti-lock brakes, 3800 V6. $19,995. 1991 CAVALIER STATIONWAGON A low mileage economy station wagon. Cameron Beth said "I liked it because it was in- teresting." Some other children explained the show by saying "it's magic!" Thanks, have a fun and safe Halloween. 1. EE Learning bow to cope with grisf gos I Questions & Answers about grief recovery" Q. I'm so absent-minded since my husband died.
