Anne Spicher will have many of her unique crafts for sale, including a wide variety of Santa Clauses, at the Christmas Craft Show and Sale at Port Perry High School and R. H. Cornish Public School on Saturday, Oct. 30. By Julia Dempsey Port Perry Star The 13th Annual Christmas Craft Show and Sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Port Perry High School and R. H. Cornish Public School. More than 160 vendors will be on hand to display a wide varie- ty of high quality crafts and oth- er gift items including jewelry, folk art, pot pourri, lingerie, woodcrafts, and collector dolls. The show and sale runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the $3 ad- mission gets visitors into both locations. Parkingis free. The Port Perry Girl Guides will be serving a light lunch in the cafeteria. A babysitting ser- vice will also be available at the high school. : "There will be an excellent va- riety of crafts and gift items available at the show and sale," said Ron Douglas, who is co- ordinating the event with his wife Norma. One the exhibitors will be Unique Crafts and Woodworks by Anne and Bob Spicher. he Scugog Island couple have turned their hobbies into a business venture. "I wanted this to be a hobby," Mr. Spicher said of his wood- working projects. "But our phone has been ringing off the hook with orders." He's not complaining, though, and neither are his cus- tomers. "People know they are getting the real thing and not a veneer product," his wife said. Mr. Spicher makes a variety of items including Deacon benches, blanket boxes, quilt racks, and magazine holders.
