As well as working on election activities booklets, five stu- dents from Gloria Krampp's Grade 6/7 class volunteered to stand for election, representing the Progressive Conservative, Liberal, Reform, and New Dem- besittingin - Local Grade 6-8 students hold a mock election ocratic parties, and an indepen- dent. : The candidates and their campaign managers researched - the parties' platforms and the leaders gave aprepared speech based on the policies. "As the elegtion approached, ~ students had to check the vot- ers' list to ensure their names were on it.
