By Margaret Cavill Belated happy birthday wish- es for October Walton, Betty Terrett, Muriel Garrison and Lorne Parrott. It's that time of year again when preparations are in full force for the annual Christmas Bazaar, Dec. 4, and so on the morning of Oct. 4 residents be- gan to prepare apples and car- rots in readiness for the famous Christmas puddings and by the afternoon 10 batches were cook- ~ ingin the steamers. On the 5th Mary Kaye repre- sentative Donna Good paid a visit, several ladies enjoyed the luxury of a facial and being pampered. A special breakfast was held in the Activity Room on the 6th, the meal was very enjoyable and well attended. A bus trip to Lindsay to the fall colors and a stop on the way home for ice-cream treats was on the agenda for Thursday, (7) and once again a good time was had by all. : Thanksgiving dinner at the nursing home was celebrated on the 13th. Residents helped in out to Willie the afterrioon to prepare the ° food for the turkey feast at din- ner time. A A trip to Oshawa for some personal shopping, supplies for the nursing home and Hallo- = ween treats and then on to a; lunch at the Chinese buffet wast the highlight of the week for many residents of both thé ~ home and the villa. CL Congratulations to the new Residents Council Executive elected on Oct. 12. President - Charles Studholme, vice- president - Marjorie Waltons, secretary - Joan Tuck, treasur- er - Margaret Charland. A big thank you to the outgoing exec- utive for a job well done. Bowling, bingo; ceramics, Bible Care College, hymn sing, and a pub night were other events that took place in Octo- ber keeping everyone extremely busy.
