Frank Bailey and his wife Felicia, who sang so beautifully, "Song of the Soul Set Free". Rev. and Mrs. Shepherd have known our guests for many years. His ser- mon entitled "Building the Church of Christ" was so appro- priate as Greenbank Church members have been doing just that, by being in attendance these 97 years. The Teen Choir sand "Let There Be Praise" and the Senior Choir were at their very best, singing "The House We Build for the Lord". It was wonderful to hear Roberta and Hugh Baird sing "Bless This House". Everyone who took part in the Sunday service should be very proud and the faithful congregation should be too, just to reach this exciting 97th anniversary of Greenbank United Church. The final hymn "O God With Thanks We Gath- er" helped everyone to give our own thanks for this special day as did the Benediction Linda Hunter and Betty Stone, our or- ganist, chose, namely "Go Now In Peace". Everyone enjoyed vigiting friends and neighbors, visiting with former members and having a delicious lunch af- ter the service, and meeting Rev. Bailey and his wife. From Mrs. Banting - Many thanks to the people who donat- ed a variety of items for the vil- lage in Honduras. The items have been delivered to the Friends of Honduras Children and will be much appreciated by Sister Maria Rosa and the mother and children of Nuevo Paraiso. I must apologize to Mrs. McCabe, our good neighbor at the "Chicken Coop" Bakery for misspelling her name in last week's paper. I am sorry! Another anniversary! This one for me and my sisters - 18 years ago on Nov. 4, I met my sister Dorothy Simpson, for the first time in 44 years. She lived in Uxbridge and I now lived in Greenbank, only eight miles away. She was able to find me through the Children's Aid, but try as I did so many times, I could not find her. She was told she had sisters and a mother living and so there was a joyous reunion with our mother and sister Anne Wills and myself. It has been a great joy for our fam- ilies to meet each other and to have a lovely niece Donna Tre- vin and her family to live so close. Don and I had lunch with Dorothy and John at their home in Pontypool on Thurs- day. Mathew Johnson of Stratford and Jean-Paul Gignac of La- fontaine are pictured rehearsing for the 7th annual Fiddle Contest sponsored by the Blackstock Agricultural Society. Seagrave Church News A big thank you to all those in the church and community who provided food and helped in any way to make the turkey dinner a big success once again. This annual church turkey dinner could not take place without the co-operation of so many in the community. _ Many from Seagrave attend- ed the Greenbank Church Anni- versary Service on Sunday. Rev. Frank Bailey gave an in- teresting sermon on "Building the Church of Christ" and his wife Felicia sang a beautiful solo "Song of Soul set Free". The other musical numbers by the two church choirs and a duet by Hugh and Roberta Baird were enjoyed by all.
