| i | | | | | | "Scugog's Community Y Newspape! ¢ of Choice" TYLER IS HOME! And he and his tamily would like to thank everyone whose concern and generosity car- ried us through. As things retum to normal, we've realized we didn't keep wack of all who helped. So if you haven't received a personal thank you, we want you to know that every gesture was appreciated. We can't mention all of the friends, family and neighbours because there were so many who called, left gifts and food at our door, sent cards, and kept Jordan and Erin. But there are a few who deserve recognition. Ken Fraser and Dick Tapscott, who cut acres of grass for us for weeks. Debbie Slute who made more meals for our family than we did! The generosity of the Mariposa Saints and others enabled us to get a monthly parking rate and a room in the parents' residence. Grandma and Grandpa Fish, Greg and Tricia, Mary Anne and Colin, Dee Dee and Andy and Pete and Sherry who took care of us and the animals and did what family does to enable Mom and Dad to stay with Tyler at Sick Kids for six weeks. Thank you to Dr. Tuck and the emergency staff at Port Perry Hos- pital for their fast action in getting us to the best facility in the world. Thank God for Dr. Humphreys, the Neurosurgical staff and the thera- pists at The Hospital for Sick Chil- dren. Thanks to everyone at the Hugh MacMillan Rehabilitation Cen- tre who spent eight weeks assess- ing Tyler and reinforcing to him, what we already knew, that Tyler is a great kid. Thanks to the friends who had their church congregations praying for Tyler. Your prayers were heard because the neurosur- gical team doesn't know why he is doing so well. Except for the helmet that he should be wearing every time you see him until reconstruc- tive surgery next summer, Tyler has made a complete recovery and started back to his regular classes last week. Thank God! The Hughson Family | would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who shared in my sorrow in the loss of my hus- band "Mike England". To friends, neighbours and relatives for phone calls, cards, flowers and donations, the Catholic Church Ladies for lunch, Dr. Tuck and nurses of Port Perry Hospital. Special thanks to Father Charlie for the enlightening service and our nephew, John Everett, for the inspiring eulogy, also thanks to the Wagg Funeral Home. Irva England | would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, prayers, visits, cards and flowers during my recent stay in Oshawa General Hospital and since my retum home. Spedial thanks to Dr. Mankowitz, Dr. Brankston and Dr. Oravek and the nursing staff on the 7th floor, also Rev. Bob LePage and The Rotary Club. Words cannot say how much your support meant to me. Sincerly, George S. Stone _ In Memoriam _ BROWN - In loving memory of our parents, Robert and Maud and brother, Harry.
