Blackstock Meeting Dec. 2 A very well presented and proposed plan of redeveloping the fairground was submitted to the public. The township, with over 40 per cent of the tax- es in arrears at the present time, have no money, but by ex- changing properties for cash they can bring this redevelop- ment into reality providing they get provincial grants and the lo- cal residents come forth with the balance needed either in money or labour-sharing pro- grams. Marilyn Pearce submitted six alternative plans and they are -asking the local public for feed- back. Plan No. 1 contained two baseball diamonds, one with lighting, track left for fall fair and car demolition derbys. Out- door basketball court. Youth playground equipment area, car parking and beautifying the front of the building. Plan costs: Provincial $175,000, Township $150,000, local residents $25,000. As we went through the other five plans, they were downgraded to correspond with costs.
