Breakfast with Santa The whole family will have an opportunity to have breakfast with Santa Claus as the jolly man comes to town. Santa will be the guest of the Manchester Lions Club when he comes to breakfast on Satur- day, December 11 fron 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Manchester Lions Hall. For a cost of $6 per person, the breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, home fries, toast, juice and coffee. The price also includes a picture with Santa Claus. The proceeds from the event goes to Lions Clubs Community Projects. House fire causes $20,000 damage A house fire on Saturday night caused approximately $20,000. According to Durham Region- al Police, the Scugog Fire De- partment responded to a house fire on Reach Street at approxi- mately 10 p.m. The fire, believed to have been caused by a faulty kero- sene heater, caused mainly smoke damage to the house. Police also said at least one resident was treated for smoke inhalation.
