On returning to school there will be a Christmas Art Gallery for you to see, the choir singing, - treats and cider. Parents and members of the community are welcome to come and help us celebrate the start of the Christ- mas season. On Dec. 12 Archie and Jennie Watson were pleased to learn of the birth of a grandson, James Frederick of Woodbridge. Dec. 11 was a big night at Uti- ca Memory Hall when the em- ployees, their wives and fami- lies of Arnold and Gail Kerry met for a dinner which was served by the Epsom-Utica U.C.W. Ladies. The family of Rev. Bill McKay and Melba will be home for Christmas. Their son and his family of Halifax and daughter of Kingston with her family, and from Epsom Rod McKay and his family - quite a house- ful. On Dec. 11 there was a full house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Len Stroud when the W.1. members, family and friends came to enjoy a buffet dinner. The children were delighted with a visit from Santa Claus. There was also a visit and songs by the quartette "The Four Dads." I attended the Uxbridge Com- munity Care luncheon on Dec. 7. "Luncheon," did I say! - it was a beautiful full course turkey dinner. On Dec. 5 my newest great- grandchild, three week old Ash- ley Moore and her parents Clarke and Heather came to vis- it me. The Cracknells visited with Johanna and Chris Ruhl one Sunday recently and several neighbors called to wish them well. The Sunday School Concert will be at Epsom Church on Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Ladies kindly bring finger food. Mr. Howard Gourlie of Sas- katchewan is visiting with his sister Doris Armstrong and his father Howard Gourlie Sr. Kathy Baster was a supper guest with her parents Shirley and Paul on Sunday. Janet and Dan Lehman and children visited friends in Ham- ilton recently. Catlin Murison had the mis- fortune to break an arm recent- ly and had the cast removed on Saturday. The Powell family went to El- eanor's mother's 76th birthday celebration in Holt Free Metho- dist Church. Thirty-eight fami- ly members sat down to supper. Eleanor Powell and friends enjoyed "Show Boat" in North York. Fay and Don Simmonds had friends in to meet some of our new residents.
