Durham MP Alex Shepherd is also calling on the Canadian government not to sign the agreement. Mr. Shepherd is against sign- ing the agreement on December 15 and is instead calling on the negotiators to extend the dead- line until the new government has had a chance to review the agreement. He argues the problems have been "inherited" by the Liberal government, which have been ongoing for six to seven years. "The bottomline is that we can't sign the agreement on De- cember 15," he said.
