MAY The Port Perry Ringette Asso- ciation held its annual awards Marsha Clouthier, of Port Perry, won three silver medals out of five events she competed in at the Eight Nations Inter- national Swim Meet held in Germany in April. The 15-year- old is a member of the Uxbridge Swim Club Woody's Auctions and Meats defeated Monsma in the playoff final to win their first broomball championship. The IGA Juniors won the bronze at the ringette Regiom- als. Marsha Clouthier won three silver medals at the Eight Na- tions International Youth Swim Meet. The Canadian team also won the gold. Several local wrestlers won medals at the DEAA finals. First place finishers were Scott Cunningham, Jay Blain, Jim banquet. Most improved players were Cathy Cooper, Me- lissa Pereman, Heather Reid, Tanya Towns and Natasha Bur- gess. Terry Rooney, Jenny Eim- re, Jill Pashley, Megan Mar- lowe and Cindy Verschuuren won for sportsmanship. The Blue Jays were the cham- pions of the Friday night bowl- ing league.
