Stephan Timms competed in the World Triathlon Champion- shipsin Manchester, England. The Peewee ModJacks won the zone championships advancing them to the All-Ontario finals. The Port Perry rink of Marjo- rie Jackson, Helen Parish, Elaine Cheeseman and Edna Bruton won the Diamond Zone Senior Curling Championships. The Port Perry Key-Bar Of- fice Equipment Juveniles nar- rowly missed winning their home tournament, losing in the dying minutes to a team from Lindsay. The Squirt Legionnaires Fastball team were presented with medals of achievement by Scugog Township Council. The team won the All-Ontario Championships earlier in the year. The Port Perry Legionnaires captured the championship of | their home tournament held at Scugog Arena over the Christ- mas holidays.
