The majority of my Christmas shopping ws done in Port Perry with great enjoy- ment. Unfortunately my moth- er and I were involved in a couple of incidents that would put me off doing it again, in these stores. Elva Kerry spent several days recently with Donna and Jeff Ireland in Uxbridge, but had Christmas at her home with her family, including Bill and Betty Stearman and Kate of Ingersoll, then the Kerry family descended on the home of Glen and Shari Kerry for a lovely New Year's feast. Cloyne and Jeanette Stear- man and Mark Kerry were Elva's New Year's guests. The Basters needed a rest so enjoyed a weekend at Marion and Jack Barnett's cottage near Minden. We were sorry to learn of two fires in our area. Our Sympathy to the Kerry and Irwins in this loss. The little skating®rink across the road is in full swing now, a lot of work for the fathers but they are enjoying it too. Also our boys are having games and fun at the Uxbridge Arena. That father and son game was exciting! Don and Janet Lehman were pleased to have his mother from Oshawa and a brother from Guelph and a sister from Bancroft for a family gathering on Sunday at the Lehman home.
