12- PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, April 19,1994 Family planning to move into old i [ig Blackstock Post Office building Doug Park believes he has the right address for a new home in Blackstock. He and his wife are hoping to move into the old Blackstock. Post Office building on Old Scu- gog Road. The building, which served as the hamlet's post office for many years, has sat vacant for two years after Canada Post opted to switch the local service to a nearby convenience store. The building was subsequent- ly put up for sale. Mr. Park plans to convert the 800-square foot, one-story building into a two-bedroom residential unit. He will maintain the current design of the building, with only minimum modifications to the building including a carport. Although council approved the zoning bylaw in principle, the application must go before the township's Committee of Adjustment for a minor vari- ance before the application is approved.
