Sergeant Ken Hudson told the Star there has not been a significant increase in thefts, calling it almost "coincidental" that many are being reported to police at the same time. Sergeant Hudson said there has been a rash of thefts report- ed in the past few weeks, but many are from incidents which happened during the winter months. Many people are returning from extended winter vacations and finding their sheds or barns have been broken into and items are missing, he said. "It is just the seasonal return of those on extended vacation," Sgt.
