The pho- tographers answered with points from Alex McKay, Matt Sutherland and Kevin Gloster. In a good end to end game Haugen's Heroes came out on top of the Legal Eagles 2-0, thanks to goals from Trevor Weisflock and Matthew Kam- minga. Scott Symes provided great goaltending to pick up the shutout. The Eagles played a strong game and had many scoring chances, especially Evan Ashton who kicked one over the goal post, and had one disallowed on an off-side play. Burketon and Willowtree Farms played to a 1-1 draw. Last year's scoring phenom Jo- seph Kozlinsky picked up his first goal of the season, and the team was helped by good perfor- mances from Peter Landry and Stormy Wootton and excellent goaltending by Joseph Farqu- harson. Eric Jefferys came up with the point for Burketon. Haugen's Heroes had another good showing against Water- front Cafe, in a 3-3 tie. Trevor Weisflock continued his scoring rowess with two, and Grace ichel kicked one in on an as- sist from Wolfe Palleske. Terrif- icdigging by Erin Edwards, Bri- gette Palleske and Laura Batterink helped the team. Under 138 On June 2, the Under 13s opened their season. Scugog One trounced Uxbridge with a 4-0 shutout. Goals were from Trevor Robins, Billy Carr, Aa- ron Chambers and Mike Le- forte. Scugog Two got an identical result in their match against Manvers, with Mike Demaio picking up a hat trick, and Mat- thew Smart adding one. Bantams win two From Page 22 began the onslaught. More hits by Marshall McQuaid, Jason Best, Carl Phoenix, Jason Lo- gan and a key two-run single by Darryl (Zeus) Moase broke the game open. Marshall McQuaid came on in relief of Matt Kay, who went five strong innings for the win, to collect his first save in a 6-2 victory for Port. A week later Port was home again to square off against East Gwillimbury. Jeff Clarke, who had pitched well in the Napan- ee tournament, got the okay to give it another shot. Port's offence proved to be too much for the week East Gwil- limbury pitching arms. Port's batters got around on every- thing that was tossed their way. This was none more evident than when Brad Morton turned on a pitch and just missed Jason Logan who was innocently tak- ing his cuts in the on deck circle (foul play was suspected). A pile of walks and hits allowed Port to score 14 runs in a 14-6 thumping. Clarke, Carl Phoe- nix, Mike Phoenix, Owen St. John, Jason Best, Ryan Wil- liamson and Marshall McQuaid all had good nights at the plate. Port's next action at home is June 29 against a tough Bra- malea squad
