If the Merchants win, the next game would be Friday at 9 p.m. at Diamond 1 (Durham Fields). If game one is a loss, the next game would be Saturday at 8 a.m. on Diamond € (McLaughlin). Robert Shamelikian, from Toronto, (left) defeated Geoff Hiscox, from London to capture the under 14 boys division, while Diana Srebrovic, from Mississauga, (right) defeated Amy Toth, from Toronto to cap- Winchester Arms victorious Cate Lewis, Lisa Bonser, Shaun Gault, Emily Cosway, Sara Co- sway and Robin Adderley. The girls took the show on the road to Whitby on Thursday, June 9 and completely dominat- ed the game and allowed the op- position just one shot on goal for the entire game. Missing five regular players didn't seem to bother the team as they went to Whitby with win on their minds. The game fea- tured some outstanding plays. The first was a perfectly arched corner kick by Sara Cosway that found the top left hand cor- ner of the goal. This corner kick goal was the result of some spe- cial coaching by Clive Roane. In the second half Paula Reed headed a corner kick taken by Sara for super goal. The girls were in control of this game from start to finish. Other goal scorers were Kim Sproule, Rob- in Adderley, Lisa Bonser with three and Paula had two more. The score could have been much higher except for many saves made by the Whitby keeper. In the end the Arms came home with a 9-0 win! Well done! Special thanks to Mandy Wakeford from the U-15 team who played in this game. Next game will be June 23 in Pickering at 9 p.m. under the lights. The team has now won three in a row.
