Sara Cain started things off with a single, a sacrifice bunt by Nikki Christie, before Michelle Scott homered to put the An- gels ahead 2-0. Whitby went ahead on a walk, three singles and a home run to take the lead 5-3 after three innings. The "Scugog Angels" then shut down Whitby the rest of the way. Robin Robin Adcock held Whitby to only three hits, the rest of the way on to a 12-5 win. The "Scugog Angels" erupted for four runs in the fourth, on a walk to Tracy Weightman, sin- gles by Amber Wood, and Robin Adcock, this all came about be- fore Stacie Jenkins homered, to clean the bases - this made the score 6-4. Oshawa scored in their half of the first, before Port Perry broke out for four runs in their half of the first inning. Sara Cain led off with a walk, fol- lowed with singles by Laurie Dudgeon, Tracy Weightman and Michelle Scott singling in a pair of runs. Robin Adamson single also produced an RBI Oshawa added two more runs in the second held off the "An- gels" in the third and fourth in- nings. Then the Royals added one more run in the third. Cherl Vaughan threw a six hitter and struck out 10 along the way. Tracy Smith with four hits, four hits also to Gene Spence, Cathy Davis, three hits too Sherri Brown, Lisa Crooker, Kim Stewart and Cheryl Vau- ghan, who also had the win, two hits by Nancy McConnell and singles to Kelly Caldwell, Stephanie Will, Mandy Porter. Defeat Waterford 10-2 The Scugog "Angels" won their second game in the An- caster Tournament by the score of 10-2 over Waterford, Ont. A huge five run first inning, then two in the second followed with three in the third was all the "Angels" needed. Joanne McDuff and Gena Spence each had two hits and three RIBs. Also with two hits each were Cheryl Vaughan, Nancy McConnell and Tara Mowden who also had two RIBs. Cheryl Vaughan tossed a 10 hitter in her win. Scugog Angels 2 Kingston 0 The "Scugog Angels" hooked up with their arch rivals from Kingston and this game like others before was a gigantic struggle as usual. Lisa Crooker singled, then Nancy McConnell singled with Crooker going to third. Joanne McDuff then singled home Crocker with McConnell taking third and then scored on Gena Spence's ground ball out. Angela Davis went all the way for the win, giving up two hits along the way. She also struck out 10 batters in winning 2-0 over Kingston. Haldimand Hand Angels Defeat The "Scugog Angels" took an early 1-0 lead before Haldi- mand went ahead 2-1. The An- gels added two more in the fifth to go ahead 3-2. Then the An- gels added one more before Hal- dimond scored, then they pro- ceeded to add two more in the seventh to win 5-4. T-Ball Blackstock Figure Skating 14 Blackstock Lioness 13 In another close game the Figure Skating Club remained in first place with their third victory. Offensive stars for the winners were Sarah Churchill, Matthew Ferguson with three hits and Steven Larmer with two hits including a triple. Mi- chelle Morrison led the defense with some fine fielding plays. Kyle Sobczak led Lioness with two hits as well as playing a great game in the field. Other stars for the Lioness were Sara Oppers, Brent Paradis and Jus- tin Dart. Analda Garden Centre 26 Super Spud 25 A seven run final inning proved the margin of victory for the Analda team as they over- came the deficit to take the win by one run. The hard hitting Analda team were led by Donald, Sean and Jeff all with home runs. Every player scored at least one run for the winners. The Super Spud played with only eight players but managed a strong offensive game. Lead- ing the way were Rina Prender- gast with a grand slam home run as well as scoring five runs. Bryan McNamara continued his strong defensive play as well as scoring four runs. Dustin Parker played his strongest game of the season scoring four times as well as making some fine defensive plays. Tyke Turner's Green Giants § Mike Baker Auto 1 A close pitcher's dual high- lighted this low scoring game. The game's only hit came off the bat of Sean McKenna of Turn- ers. Baker Auto pitchers Taylor Churchill and Mitch Truax combined for eight strikeouts while Kory Prosser and Ashley Lucas of Turners totalled 12 'outs via strikeouts. J.C.Flooring 8 Swain Seeds 7 A passed ball throwing mis- cue by Swain's provided the margin of victory for J.C. Floor- ing. The Flooring team scored all their runs in the last two in- nings after Swain's had built up a 7-0lead. Mark Carnaghan led the win- ners with a double and a triple. Martyn's stormed back with seven runs in the open inning but came up one run short. A home run by Ryan Nesbitt and doubles by Nesbitt and Brad Sutcliffe led the Martyn team. Martyn's Consulting 16 Ash/Embers Flames 7 In a rained out, rescheduled game Martyn's were led by Chris Goble's double, triple and home run. Tom Kittle did a fine job pitching and holding the Carpentry team at bay over the final few innings. Collin Holditch also played a fine defensive game for the Port Perry team.
