Unfortunately in today's marketplace it is not always possible to preserve all of the old traditions and operate a successful business. In the 90s we are forced to watch the trends and meet the new demands of our customers. So, after resisting opening on Sunday for more than two years, we've decided it's time for Port Perry IGA to move ahead and accept the fact this new trend in shopping is here to stay. % This decision has not been made hastily, nor without serious discussions between our store managers and staff. It's a decision that effects us all individually, as well as our families, and we've approached this subject with our families in mind because Port Perry IGA truly is concerned about the impact on everyone. We are pleased that most of our IGA staff realize that this decision was not easy, but has been made in the best interest of both the company and employee.
