RL] "A Family Tradition for 128 Years" PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, July 5,1994 - 3 Fralick's Beach home destroyed in afternoon fire A home on Fralick's Beach Road on Scugog Island was de- stroyed Sunday afternoon. According to Durham Region- al Police, neighbars saw smoke coming from the garage area around 3 p.m. that afternoon. When fire crews arrived a short time later, the home and garage were fully engulfed. Nobody was home at the time of the fire as the owners had left the house a number of hours earlier. Fire officials believe an elec- trical fault from the garage or from a car parked in the garage was the cause of the blaze. The damage is estimated at $100,000. _ The blaze is under investiga- tion. Thieves snatch money, shrimp Police are investigating a rather fishy crime. On July 3 during the night, the Halibut House Fish and Chip store on Highway 7A was broken into. Once inside, the thieves pried open the safe and cash registers. and took a large quantity of cash. A considerable amount of product was also taken includ- ing fish, shrimp and 300 pounds of halibut. The incident is under investi- gation. Bikers charged A number of minor charges were laid by Durham Regional Police following a large biker's party in Caesarearecently. According to police, more than 200 bikers from nine dif-. ferent gangs across the country participated in a party at the Paradice Rider's club house in Caesarea on the June 24 week- end. A number of charges were laid including one narcotics of- fence and 10 Highway Traffic Act charges.
