But, the organizers said more bands will be added to the ve- nue. "Although this type of benefit is not an original idea, we do be- lieve that music brings people together," the organizers said. "For this reason, we are chal- lenging other bands and musi- cians with bigger names to play our awareness weekend or orga- nize their own events. Let's give a little back, the people deserve it!" The weekend party will be held on a 60-acre farm site on Scugog Line 12. Although the event will fea- ture primarily music, event or- ganizers hope to make it a fami- ly atmosphere with camping, barbecues and games for the family. They are also sending out a strong message that drinking and driving will not be tolerat- ed. Last month, Scugog Council rejected the idea of the field par- ty citing a number of concerns including liability and bylaw re- strictions.
