Lots of action at soccer fields Under Six Results Port Perry Printing and Framer's Gallery played a great first half, ending in a scoreless tie. In the second half, Brent Henry whipped two well-placed kicks past the posts to lead the Framer's to a 2-0 victory. Laurentian Bank had a busy week with two games. Their first, against Haugen's Chicks ended in a tie. Jared Olsen came up with an outstanding game, as did Kyle Passmore. Kristo- pher Barchuk broke up plays well on defence. Kalea Renaud showed the boys the speed they will need to catch her. The Chicks also showed a good team effort. Kim and Shayne were awesome defen- sively. Benjamin was a great of- fensive force, and Scott and Joshua each scored a goal. The Bankers didn't fare as well against J & D Carpentry. A shutout for J & D was accom- - plished, thanks to splendid oaltending by Clare Neary and Mark Vallenburg. Dustin Cur- ran scored twice and Devin Col- son once, to clinch the win. The Royal Canadian Legion trounced Second Hand for Kids, but Nicholas Weisflock man- aged one goal and the Kids saw an excellent effort from their new player, Brandon MacPher- son. Under Seven Results Brian's Towing came on strong against Port Perry Lions Club to secure a 4-0 win. Rus- sell Tracey notched two, Kirk Stevens and Troy Wagg scored one each. Ashley Radcliffe played an outstanding game, running hard both ways and making several checks. Keith Steele was effective on defence, stealing the ball before the Li- ons had a chance to shoot. IGA, Van Camp battle to a tie at soccer fields Under Nine Results Manvers plaved another strong game against Willowtree Farms, to take the win by a 4-2 margin. Brandon Spearing scored twice. Gary Cafik and Zach Plowright picked up a point each. Darren Tapper and Daniel Bois came through for Willowtree to keep the game close. Reach Park Motors shut out Joe's Pizza, with goals by Mat- thew Charron and Erin Geary. Celine Batterink and Brent Wagg shared the shutout, with help from outstanding defence by Chris Charron. Joe's putin a great effort, hustling all the way. Nelson Langmaid, Adam Bull and Michael Younghus- band worked hard on defence. Leo Taillon made many great saves in net. Air Durham had a big 5-1 win over Tim's Renovations, thanks to goals by Derek Goreski (two), Scott Lennox (two) and Tyler Cunningham. Kenny Britt and Tyler Cunningham provided solid net-minding, and Joey Stephenson was good on de- fence. Steve Groves scored one for Tim's. Cottrell's Cuspids shut out Raglan Industries with a 3-0 win. Goals were by Trevor Chandler, Kyle Geer and Dan- ny Halward. Peter Dutka putin a valiant defensive effort for Raglan, and ended up with a broken arm for his troubles! Antrim House and Burketon played to a 2-2 draw. Goals for the pub were by Aaron Bray and Jeffrey Tomcheski. Burketon's points were from Matthew Mor- ison and Alex Henderson. Under11Results Green Apple Cabinets won their game against Willowtree Farms due to forfeit. In a show of good sportsmanship, they lent Greg Jeffrey, Michael Syt- sma and Daniel Foster to Wil- lowtree for a fun match. An ex- cellent time was had by all with goals scored by each team. Haugen's Heros just edged . gruelling out Burketon for a 6-5 win, in a end-to-end game. Goals for Haugen's were by Der- ek Fishley (two), Matthew Kamminga (two), Trevor Weis- flock (one) and Wolf Palleske (one). Burketon played with only seven players, and their goals were by Greg VanLeyden (two), Phillip Cudahy (two) and one for Jason Morrison. Laura Batterink was terrific on de- fence for Haugen's. Phillip Cu- dahy played an outstanding game, as did Chas Morrison in net for Burketon. Waterfront Cafe trounced IGA with a 9-1 win. Good pass- ing and defence were the key to the win. The Halward "boys, Danny and David made three markers each, followed by Sroncer Churchill with tv.. and Peter Konstantinopolous with a single. Katrina ahy, Amy Valkenburg and Tim Donohue provided great defence. Virtual- ly flawless goalkeeping was handled by Robert Potier and Gabriel Benschop. IGA's lone marker came from Chris Wy- gerde. Chris Gloster led Darlene Colton Photography to a 6-2 win over the Legal Eagles, with four goals to his credit. Alex McKay and Kevin Gloster added one each. Erin Slack and Rebecca Aked put in fine defensive ef- forts, to hold the Eagles to only two goals, by Wes Langmaid and Evan Ashton. Under 13 Results Port Perry's teams, IGA and VanCamp, met up and played to a 1-1 tie. Dean VanCamp scored first from an excellent pass by Matt Tillart. Bill Carr from Ger- ard Timmers came back for IGA with a perfect high kick to the corner of the net, after a series of passes that tied up the Van- Camp defence.
