Before cutting the ribbon to officially mark the opening of the 64 homes, Mayor Howard Hall said that council has a lot of respect for developer Lou Stein and his accomplishments in Port Perry over the past 20 years. Phases one and two, which consist of about 100 homes, were opened six years ago and since then have developed into one of the most attractive subdi- visions in the area. Mayor Hall said he was pleased the Victorian Village is ready to get underway with an additional 60 lots and that 14 of these have already been pre- sold. Mr. Stein said that they are still waiting for final approvals for the subdivision, which they expect by the end of November. Servicing of land could start as early as this fall, but would have to be finished next year. Colin Blight told the Port Perry Star it is their hope to get' started putting in basements early next spring. Phase three of Victorian Village offers seven different models of homes ranging in price from $164,900. for the 1,120 sq. ft. Aynsley Cottage to $233,900. for the 2,860 sq. ft. Victoria House: As in the first two phases of Victorian Village the homes will feature front porches trimmed with lattice and spindles, steep- ly pitched roofs and traditional decorative brickwork of the Victorian era.
