THANK YOU PORT PERRY "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice " Seniors pot luck was attended by over 100 Leger, Pal Marshall, Hazel bership paused for a moment of silence in memory of Jim McHarg, who recently passed away. An excellent dinner with many varieties of food was served and enjoyed by all. In keeping with the season, a Halloween theme with pumpkins and costumes was displayed and worn by some of the seniors. A short meeting followed the dinner with reports from exec- utive members. We were en- tertained by a trio that includ- ed Eva Hunter - piano; Bob Cawker - saxophone and Mar- garet Ingram as vocalist. A skit based on the televi- sion program "Hee Haw" with members of the Lawn Bowling Club making up the cast was presented to the seniors. Cast members included Ruth and Stan Foster, Hazel and John Gray, Alice Spence, Jim Mar- tin and Norm Caswell, accom- panied by Carol Morrow on the piano. Our thanks to the seniors on food services this month and all those who helped in putting the tables and chairs away. Don't forget the dance classes on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., shuffleboard on Mondays at 1 p-m., euchres on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and our bazaar at the Latcham Centre on Sat- urday, Nov. 12 starting at 11 a.m. Our next meeting on Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. will include a Re- membrance Day program. Christmas dinner tickets will be available at this meeting. Do join us as often as you can.
