The second ad- vent candle "Peace" was lit by Pat and Neil Raines and the flame on the pulpit banner was placed by Darrell Pelletier. Next Sunday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. in Greenbank Church, two Handbell Choirs from Rich- mond Hill, known as "The Bells of St. Matthew's" will be provid- ing us with special music. Pre- service music begins at 10:45 a.m. Plan to attend this Christ- mas service with a friend. The Fidelis Unit, UCW, will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 12:30 at the Church. The meet- ing will begin with a pot luck luncheon. Please come and bring a friend. : Cookie Exchange - the Eve- ning Unit on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. are having a cookie ex- change. Each member is asked to bring six dozen plus three. Last call for tickets for the Christmas Dance on Dec. 10 at Greenbank Hall. So get a group together for dancing upstairs or euchre downstairs. Call 985- 3723 for tickets. Larry Doble also informed me that tickets for the New Year's Eve Dance are two-thirds sold so if you buy your tickets on or before Dec. 10, they are only $30. Call 985- 3723 soon. In a special ceremony on Nov. 22 at Greenbank Hall, seven six to eight-year-old girls, Twee- nies, became Brownies. These girls were: Michelle Adderly, Nicole Challis, Kailey McQuade, Holly Myers, Emilie Potier, Lauren Stairs and Abby Yakeley. Mrs. Charlene Shep- herd officiated at this ceremony and also welcomed Vivien Ad- derly, Val Hunter and Margie Robins as new guiders. The new brownies brought baking they had made, which helped them obtain their baking badge. The monthly euchre party will be held this Friday evening at Greenbank Hall. Recently enjoying a trip to Branson, Missouri were Jean and Neil Hunter, Norrine and also had good weather for sight- seeing. Last Sunday afternoon, Mur- ray and I enjoyed "The Living Christmas Tree" put on by the congregation of Lindsay Pres- byterian Church. If you have never enjoyed seeing this pa- geant, I recommend it as a must for next year. _ Mrs. Margaret Couperth- | waite, Robert and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marshman of Greenbank attended the 80th birthday cele- bration for Margaret Ham of Margaret Couperthwaite and Robert attended Sunday eve- ning Anniversary Church Ser- vice at Wallace Memorial Church in Scarborough. "Get Well Soon" wishes go to Madeline McCabe who is a pa- tient in Uxbridge Hospital and to Harry Hill who is home after surgery in Community Memori- al Hospital. To all who are ill that I haven't heard of, we remember you and also send get well wish- es to you.
