The painting, in memory of her brother-in-law Eric Hurst, was commissioned by his friends at the Spanish Lakes Riverfront, where he and wife Norma, second from right, wintered. The painting, created in 1992, was meant for the new wing of the hospital and it will hang in the quiet room at CMH. Quit Smoking - The Plan Now that you have spent a "week tracking your smoking habits, it is time to take a look at them. See when you smoked,\what you were doing and most iynpor- tant, what you could do uistead. The whole idea is to change the way you did things when you smoked. This week, plan ahead for your quit day so that you have other things to do when you feel like smoking. If you usually have a cigarette during coffee break, try juice or water instead and sit in the non-smoking sec- tion. If you smoke on the phone, put a doodle pad and pencil near by. If an evening out with Make plan to butt out friends is a trigger, plan to spend time with non-smoking friends until you have gotten over the hardest part of quit- ting. Some eating tips to help you keep weight down and deal with cravings are: eat fruit often, drink water, eat only when hun- gry, not bored, and when fin- ished a meal get up from the ta- ble; don't sit there thinking about a cigarette. Start to look at ways you can be more active. This will help you deal with regular stress and the stress of not smoking. Try to incorporate activity as a part of your daily schedule. You might park further away and walk, take the stairs, spend active time playing games, or at the park with your children in- stead of watching television. Take this week to get what will help you when you quit.
