The hope is that if one or more company locates his business at the Success Industrial Park it wil set the stage for more activi- y. The owners of Success Indus- trial Park, formerly Jerry's In- dustrial, Tom and Daphne Mitchell told council they want to attract businesses to a "nice, clean, attractive development." The Mitchell's presented council with a set of guidelines they would like potential buyers to follow to ensure the area on Scugog Line 6, east of Highway 12,is a desirableone. They want to see light manu- facturing industry, warehous- ing and distribution and high tech "clean" industrial develop- ment. To encourage that develop- ment, lot occupancy covenants and building covenants have been developed as guidelines for the purchasers. Several items are covered un- der the guidelines, including the restrictions of vehicles or trailers being parked outside for extended periods of time and waste or raw materials being stored on site. Much of the development work at the park is already com- plete. The roads in place are paved and awaiting the final drop of asphalt as required upon sale of 85 per cent of the availa- ble industiral land. Drainage systems have been graded and installed and a fire pond has been putin place. The next step is for the own- ers to seek severance and sale of its lots. Township council endorsed the Mitchell's guidelines, as Mayor Howard Hall told them they "are happy to see the devel- opment" and they "all want to seeitgo."
