Students to take 'high-tech' tour More than 150 students from Durham and Northum- berland Regions will have the opportunity on Feb. 22 to learn first-hand about high tech and community health careers. The day-long event will be sponsored by the Durham Board of Education, in co- operation with Durham Col- lege and Oshawa General Hospital. Students from Grades 11, 12 and 13 who are interested in careers in the health care field can take partin two half day sessions. The first will deal with high tech health care careers and will take place at Oshawa General Hospital where professional staff will introduce students to a variety of career opportu- nities. The second, dealing with community-based health care careers, will take place at Durham College where students will rotate through three workshops. The work- shop presenters will be part of a panel where they will be able to discuss their careers and answer student's ques- tions.
