They were the first on the scoreboard at the 11:55 mark of the first period. They came back with another goal from a scram- ble in front of goalie Chris Mon- sma. Finally, with 25 seconds left in the first period, Brad Johnston scored from Greg Bru- ton and Sean Jeffrey. The second period action be- gan with Jeff' Ashton fighting his way through the crowd to the Cobourg net, only to be stopped cold, but on the very next play, Jeff sent a blistering slapshot home. All this, with Port shortanded! Brad John- ston and Nick Pelyk picked up the assists on Jeff's goal. Port Nothin' Jason Price of Cartwright Central P.S. launches a shot toward the net during the Knights of Columbus Free Throw competition, held last Wednesday night at Immaculate Conception in Port Perry. The Area Convention will be held Oct. 13-14, 1995 at Howard Johnson's. The district annual will be held at Clare- mont W.I. 1995. There are W.I. pens for sale. Meeting closed as usual. The group in charge, Family and Consumer Affairs, took over, which consisted of just Jan Gerrow as her speaker was not available either. And so Jan did a wonderful job on the Hu- man Body and Nutrition. It was very educational and we learned a lot. Feb. 5 will be induction of Elders and Ste- wards and luncheon after- wards. Dorothy Hope and Dianne Brough are sharing the president's chair in the U.C.W. There has been a change in meeting night for February. It will be on the 15th at the home of Hildy Smith. The Hospital Auxiliary have opened their new gift shop. They have some lovely gift items and hand made knitting. If you are looking for a special gift be sure and call in. They are also looking for volunteers to work in the gift shop.
