Fowler and Associates has only been in Port Perry for a few years, its owner has been practicing law locally since 1980. Mr. Fowler, who began as an employee of the Port Perry branch of Kelly, Jermyn, Zuly and Matthews, ultimately purchased the bra ch office in 1982 and began Ais own practice. The general law firm has one associate Karen Kelly, who was raised on a farm just outside of Beaverton, and was a member of the Port Perry Junior Farmers in her youth. Mr. Fowler is a graduate of the University of Windsor and the University of Western Ontario. Stonemoor Day Care Centres Inc. was incorporated in 1981 in Uxbridge and later expanded to Port Perry in 1989. Owners Kevin and Joan Pilkington stress quality integrated day care, along with daily learning programs and special activities such as field trips. The day care enrolls children between the ages of 15 months and nine years of age. A schoal age program is also available.
