The Oddfellows Hall was the venue and a good crowd of over 100 showed up for the eve- ning's events. The Brooklin Bruins received the league championship trophy after an amazing season in which they captured the league championship going all season un- defeated, including the playoffs. They also managed to go undefeat- ed through the Regional Playdowns and Provincial Championships winning both of them. For the individual awards, top scorer for the regular season was Ken St. Amant of Trader Sam's with 12 goals, and 18 assists. Top goaltender was Brooklin's Jim Raa- phorst with a goals against average of 1.20 allowing 24 goals in 20 games. St. Amant also won the Most Valuable Player Award based upon his perfor- mance. The Patricia and Donovan Dalton Memorial trophy for the most gentleman- ly player went to the Bruin's Ron Attwood who amassed two minutes in penalties while scoring 12 times and picking up 11 assists. Rookie of the year honours were picked up by Trader's Mike O'Meara with eight goals, and two assists. In the playoffs it was Sean Mitchell who garnered the scoring race trophy with three goals, and one assist. Hard to believe that with only four points would win the scoring in the final rounds but with the goaltending the way it was it's understandable. Based upon allowing four goals in three games, and five goals in five games, Raaphorst and Keith Tremblay of the Swampers were both pre- sented with the playoff MVP award.
