STORY IDEAS Call the Port Perry Star (905) 985-7383 Hall states council postion: Canterbury course needed By Kelly Lown Port Perry Star Mayor Howard Hall has sent a letter to Canterbu- ry Common officials tell- ing them directly that the most expeditious way of seeing their project con- tinue will be to include a 9- hole golf course in their plans. Council shot down the developer's plans for a park plan in replacement of the course at a recent public hearing. Mayor Hall told councillors at the next council meeting that a letter should be sent to the developers to let them know exactly where the council stands on the is- sue. The Mayor told the de- velopers that the council "whole-heartedly sup- ports the development of the Canterbury Common project."
