Cornish Track/Field team did well at the May DEAA Central meet held t Civic Fields in Oshawa on May 29. De- spite threatening skies and brisk breezes, our stu- dents gave it their best ef- fort both in the field and on the track. Cornish had plenty to be happy about after a solid performance at the DEAA Central meet held at Civic Fields in Oshawa on May 29. Here, members of the team pose for a photo in celebration of the win. Summer Camp in 15th year Port Perry Tennis Club proudly offers their Junior Summer Tennis Program for the 16th straight year. Many young players in the area chart their progress and enthusiasm for tennis from attending and learn- ing at this popular "camp". This year it runs from Monday, July 10 to Fni- day, July 28. Three weeks of games, practice and fun, week-days from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The cost per child ok is $70. for members and $80. for non-members. The age range is from 8 to 16 years for all levels of play. The friendly, popular coaches are certified and experienced to provide the basic skills and drills ne- cessar6y for continuous improvement. Cold drinks are supplied and a limited number of junior racquets if necessary. We are pleased that once again, K.F.C. are offering some sponsorship. A very full and reward- ing three weeks for young people to play with their buddies in action-packed games and coordination the game of tennis prg- vides. It's the sport of a lifetime.
