Her funeral was held at the Sea- grave Church on Tuesday eve- ning, June 6. She will be sadly missed by the entire Seagrave community, at the church where she was a member and also a life time member of the U.C.W. Our thoughts are with the family at this time. Seagrave and Scugog commu- nities were saddened last week by the passing of area resident Don Summerfeldt. Don and his wife Barbara and daughters have lived in Castle Harbour for some time and were long-time residents of the Stouffville- Markham area. Our sincerest sympathy is extended to his wife Barbara and daughters as they go through these troubled times. The Seagrave "morning ad- venture" class for Moms and Tots held their last class until September on Wednesday, June 7. Y.M.C.A. instructor Diane Cooke wishes to thank all par- ticipating moms for their coop- eration these past weeks and for all the goodies for the children's party. More the merrier! Any- one with small children who would be interested in this class can call the Y.M.C.A. at 985- 2824. The Seagrave and area men's group held their monthly break- fast meeting on Saturday, June 10. The topic of the month was "What is our moral responsibili- ty to our community". The meet- ing was well attended and the conversation and fellowship was enjoyed by all. The men's group will be holding their monthly meeting on the second Saturday of each month for one hour beginning at 8:30 a.m. and finishing at 9:30 a.m. The topic for Saturday, July 9 will be "Fishing". Happy birthday wishes this week to Herb Zolitz. Happy be- lated birthday wishes to Debra Colston. Seagrave Church News The annual Seagrave Church yard sale was again a huge suc- cess this year. This was a special day for the young people as they presented humorous skits and songs for which they had practiced all week. The rain was good enough to stay away for the final day of the Sunday School year. Janice MacKenzie and Clare Notman had decorated the Sanctuary with pretty balloons. Kate Mairs was as usual our outstanding pianist. Mrs. Neta Fish of Edgerton Road had an interesting visit on Sunday after the Church Ser- vice with daughter Audrey and Jim Leishman and boys Mi- chael, Jamie and William at Re- aboro, catching up on family news. Do Your Best (Requested) It takes alittle courage, And alot of self-control, And some determination, If you want to reach a goal. It takes a deal of striving, And a firm and stern set chin, No matter what the battle, If you really want to win. There is a rule in life to guide you, As you see prosperity, Never put your wishbone, Where your backbone ought to e. Nestleton Presbyterian Church On a lovely June morning, the regular service at 11 a.m. was conducted by Rev. Wm. Fairley, with Joyce Taylor, organist. Ushers were Oliver Rohrer and Graham Ham.
