AA a Eh "A Family Tradition for 128 Years" PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, June 20, 1995 - BY Local funeral director named award recipient Wagg Funeral Home owner and manager Myles G. O'Riordan received the prestigious OGR Gold Public Approval award from the International Or- der of the Golden Rule re- cently at OGR's 37th an- nual International Conference in San Anto- nio, Texas. The International Or- der of the Golden Rule is an association of over 1,300 independently- owned funeral homes around the world. In order to qualify for membership, funeral homes must meet stringent business and community service stan- dards. One of OGR's most uti- lized services is the Fami- ly Contact program. Through the program, questionnaires are sent to families who used the ser- vices of an OGR funeral home, asking for specific information about the quality of service a family received. In 1994, over 97 per cent of the families who had used OGR firms rated their overall satisfaction as excellent. Thousands of positive comments are received from families each year, and the six Gold Public Approval awards are se- lected from among the most outstanding positive comments received.
