Matters of business were taken care of and all enjoyed the day. The June 19 ;meeting was preceeded by a deli- cious buffet lunch which was prepared by the kitch- en staff. Thanks girls! " After lunch Mr. Brown thanked the auxiliary for their help and support while the new wing was being built. He received a cheque to pay for a "Cau- tering Machine" that cost $11,000, and an x-ray viewing box that cost $1,200. Before he left he gave us a list of equipment which is needed. Minutes of the 'May meeting were read and adopted. The auxil- iary and gift shop treasur- ers report was also read and adopted. A lovely baby layette was presented by Gertie Wannamaker. on behalf of the Seagrave ladies, who have done this for many" years. Thank you ladies! Three baby quilts and several baby outfits were turned in by our knitters. Members were asked to help with the "Garden Tours" on Saturday, July "Talent Money" is still . being handed in. Kay Thompson's rhubarb pies are still being ordered. More help is needed in the gift shop. Our new hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. then 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you haven't already vis- ited the shop, please drop in and see what we have to offer. You will find many great ideas for bridal and baby showers, birthdays and anniversary gifts. Our president, Jeanne Sparrow thanked all who helped make our "Tag Days" such a great suc- cess. The money raised will help us pay for the equipment that we buy for the hospital. The H.E.L.L.P. tickets are sell- ing well. 3 Historian Noreen now has three volumes of pic- tures and articles of the auxiliary's story. After some discussion it was decided to purchase a "Two Scope Disinfector" at a cost of $20, 000; one re- frigerator for E.R. for $1,000; a refrigerator for the ward costing $1,000 and a refrigerator for the pharmacy worth $1,000. The next scheduled meeting is Sept. 18. Have a het. summer, sedyou in the fall. PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, June 27, 1995 - B15
