Jacob Get- tins played a strong defensive game for the winners while the team welcomed back Megan Moore from an early season in- Nathan Evans and Connor Bartholmew had RBI's for the Skating Club while Nathan Alpe hit a triple. Defensively Katelyn Rundle and newly ac- quired Zachery R. were the game stars. Superspud - 19 Blackstock Lions-14 . An eight run last inning made the difference as Super Spud won the secnd straight game. Danielle Wolters led the way with a three run homer while Luke Mitchell also homered. The defense was led by the strong play of Cody James and Wade McGregor. The offense for the Cubs was led by Scott Banks, Kirstie Fid- ley, Rachel Beechey and Char- layn Stinson, all of whom scored two runs each while the defense was highlighted by the play of Nichole MacLeod. Tykes Spring Grove Agri-Vaders-6 Wotten Hammerheads -3 The 'Vaders continued their winning ways as Joel Michel had a home run and two RBI's while Greg Banks had a triple and two RBI's and Brent Para- dis a double. The Hammerheads were led by the excellent defensive play of Patrick Wotten as catcher and Dylan Jones who made a greatinning ending catch. Both teams played well as both the second and third in- nings were scoreless. Baker Roadrunners -W Philp Firebirds - LL No game report. Senior Don Frew & Son -15 Dr. Workman Hawkeyes-11 In a well played game by both teams the Frew crew battled back for the victory. Leading the way for the winners were Troy Mappin and Richard Frew with round trippers. Josh Martyn's home run was a key hit for the Hawkeyes while Ryan Prescott and Jeff Danilko provided strong de- fense. Aaron Warren and Mat- thew Welts played as call ups for the Hawkeyes and from all reports held their own and each played a fine game. Campbell Electric -15 Marlin Travel -5 Two six run innings proved the difference as Campbell's cruised to their sixth win. John Burnett for Marlins provided some strong catching for Mar- hin. Mites Cummings Backhoe vs Nes- tleton Country Store No game report | Lishman's-15 H&M Wright Sox -7 The win by Lishman's vaulted them alone into second place. Nicole Jones paced the winners - with a grand slam home run while Mark Carnaghan also col- lected ahome run as one of his four hits. Strong pitching by Donnie Ellis and Jeffrey Kraas led the Lishman defense. The H & M batters were spearheaded by James McGeoghan with two RBI's while on defense Alanna Holland played well at short- stop while Tyson Prescott made a nice catch in the outfield. Hometown IGA -19 Turner's Green Giants- 13 Two six run innings coupled with 17 walks issued by Turn- er's pitchers led the IGA to their sixth win. Janice Kadowaki continued to impress collecting two key RBI singles while Jamie New- man scored three runs as well.as playing a good game at catcher. Abby McLaughlin led the de- fense with some fine plays at pitcher. Haley Campbell led the Green Giants with a strong game at first base on the defen- sive side. Offensively Brian Martyn col- lected three walks and scored twice while Brad and Mitch Tru- ax had solid singles. Squirt Swain Seeds-13Mann's Sweet Corn -5 It was a long wait but a solid team performance led Swains to their first win of the season. The pitching trio of Mark Morrison, Krystal Bartley and Terry Damant provided out- standing pitching to hold the usual strong hitting Cornhusk- ers to just five runs. Coronna Bauer led the of- fense collecting three singles, while other multiple hit games were turned in by Jamie Gim- blett and Johnathan Swinerd. Top hitters for Mann's were Brandi Brooks with three hits and Gineen Collins with two singles. Strong pitching perfor- mances were turned in by Krys- tin Bronson and Jen Upton. Martyn Consulting - 10 An- trim House -10 In a rare tie game the two teams battled down to the last batter. Antrim's offense was led by Stefanie Kingswell's home run while Ryan Nesbitt played a strong game at catcher tagging two Martyn's runners for outs.
