| "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" Daycamp programs heating up now Already into its third week, the Township of Scugog daycamps are heating up with some exciting activities. During July, Sports camp offers skills ses- sions in Basketball and Volleyball. In addition, kids will get a chance to participate in horse- back riding at Hoskins Stables in Blackstock; a day at Port Perry Mini Putt and Golfin the bat- ting cage, driving range and playing mini putt. Kids will also get a chance to try rollerblad- ing at the arena and participate in lawn- bowling. Regular swim- ming takes place at Birdseye outdoor pool. Pioneer Adventure Camp is new and will be offered July 17 - 28. The Recreation department and the Scugog Shores Museum have com- bined their resources to offer this new and excit- ing camp. Adopting the Pioneer camp format, the pro- gram will feature learn- ing about Pioneer and Victorian traditions. Each day will focus on different themes in- cluding: Pioneer, Victo- rian, Print Shop and a "Day in the Life". The afternoon session will feature games, arts and crafts and other games.
