Registration at 12:30 p.m. was supervised by Janis Dorrell and fami- ly. A "Get Acquainted" ac- tivity was enjoyed by many. Grant Ferguson, president, asked Stuart Dorrell to say grace and a bountiful pot luck meal was enjoyed by all. Grant welcomed everyone, espe- cially the Fergusons from the Western Ontario Re- union who were hosted here this year. Ken Ferguson brought greetings from the West- ern Ontario Picnic. Kathleen Dorrell pre- sided for the adult games. She announed the names of the ones who had com- pleted the Get Acquainted activity and presented Certificates of Merit to them. The winners of the contests and their suitable prizes were: Oldest man - Everett Sparling - note pad to write things down to re- member. Oldest lady - Ve- rona Ferguson - beaded hair net. Karen has a rabbitry and sup- plied, along with leader Dave Grandy, some of the rabbits for members to raise. Everyone had a great time choosing just the right rabbit to take home for the summer. The club met early, so that members could enjoy the Cummings' swimming pool. After the 4-H pledge, we welcomed new mem- ber, Jacqueline Loraine. Dave helped with regular business and with choos- ing a Go For The Gold team. We also discussed and learned a lot about furnishing arabbitry.
