On Thursday police issued a press release seeking witnesses to the accident at 7:40 a.m. last Wednesday morning (Aug. 23) near Utica that left 21-year-old Stephanie Tungatt in critical condi- tion. Police said Ms Tungatt was westbound on Regional Rd. 21 when she pulled out to pass two dump trucks. She lost control of her 1987 Plymouth Sundance, which entered the south ditch and slammed into a tree. The woman was par- tially ejected from the car and sustained serious injuries. She was treated at community Memorial Hospital in Port Perry, and later transferred to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
