UNDER NINE Nuts About Chocolate : VS. Port Perry Metals Port Perry Metals shut out Nuts About Chocolate 3-0 with goals coming from Jillian Vaughan (one) and Andrew Pegg (two). Raglan Welding vs. Scugog Rentals Scugog Rentals shut out Raglan 3-0 in an exciting game. Scoring for Scugog Rentals was Mike Wallace (one) and Mike Armstrong (two). Tan Wick showed lots of hustle and Sherri Currie played a strong game on the wing. The game also showed another solid defensive game by Jeff Rankin. Antrim House vs. Manvers Sean Mitchell scored the only goal in this game to give Manvers the 1-0 win. Burketon vs. Port Perry Craft and Gift Show The season closed with an exciting game between these two teams. Both teams played very strong offensively with Port Perry Craft and Gift com- ing away with a 3-2 win. Goals for Burketon from Matt Morison and Adam Philippe and Craft and Gift Show's from Keenan Geer, Chris Charron and Matt Charron. Outstand- ing defensive work by Kristina and Kaitlynn Wiech, Caylie Gilmore and Bronwyn Renison. Goalie Andrew Philippe kept everyone on the edge of their seats the whole game. Roger's Automotive vs. Port Perry Metals Roger's defeated Port Perry metals with a score 3-1. Scoring for Roger's was Michael Wilson, Mat- thew Tennant and Alexan- dra Moffatt and for the Metals, Andrew Pegg. Great playing by William Dallas and Cindy Howard. Dairy Delight vs. Bank of Montreal Bank of Montreal de- feated Dairy Delight this week by a score of 3-1. Bankers played excellent with goals coming from Jonathon Hamelinch (two) and Steven Ether- ington (one). Good defen- sive efforts by Jeremy Cash and Liz Reinhart and awesome kicks by Eri- ca Bulloch. Goaltender Jeremy Bulloch also made some super saves. UNDER ELEVEN Brian's Towing vs. Na- ture's Bounty Brian's Towing shutout Nature's Bounty 4.0. Goalscorers were Nicholas Murphy with one and Ke- vin Robins with three. Scooters vs. Darlene Colton Joseph Kozlinsky's hat trick and Timothy Cruick- shank's two goals gave a 5- 0 win to Scooters. Good ef- forts by Craig Kehoe, Ga- briel Benschop and Steven Karalash. Citizen vs. Willowtree Willowtree defeated Citizen by a score of 7-3 this week. Goalscorers were Willowtree's Kevin Gloucester (two), Evan Powell (one), Richard Tra- cy (one), Ryan Belair (one), Matt Sutherland (one), James H. (one) and Citizen's Robert Potier (one), Collin Holditch (one), and Matt Kaminga (one). Burketon vs. Legal Eagles The season ended with an exciting 5-1 win in fa- vor of Burketon. A strong performance by Derek Go- reski who scored the lone goal for the Eagles. Goals for Burketon were Laura Pottier with one, Stepha- nie Geisberger with one, Phil Cudahy with two and Adam Philippe with one. Congratulations also to Lee Chambers who had some great long kicks. Great Game for all! Legal Eagles vs. M & M Meats M & M won 5-3 over Le- gal Eagles. Richard Bra- zier had a hat trick and Justin Shinn scored two goals for M & M while Der- ekGoreski, Mark Schinkel and Ryan Hamelinck each scored one for the Eagles. Good game by both teams. Broomball is just around the corner The baseball cleats are Just getting hung up in the closet and out come those funny soled running shoes and the 27th season of Broomball in Port Perry is about to begin. The Brooklin Bruins will be looking to repeat as league champs as they had a very successful sea- son last year with a pro- vincial championship to boot. Old foes such as the Homelife Swampers and the Blackstock Brewers will be looking to unseat the champs. In addition, returning this season will be Trader Sam's, The Framer's Gallery, and Ra- ven's Renovations to round out the six team league. Again the league will be going Sunday af- ternoons from 3:30 to 6:30 at the local ice pad. The first games will go Sunday, September 10 with the following sched- ule: 3:30 - Trader Sam's vs. Brooklin Bruins; 4:30 - Raven's Renovations vs. The Homelite Swampers; 5:30 - The Framer's Gal- lery vs. Blackstock Brew- ers.
