The run will begin at the Port Perry Fairgrounds at 9 a.m. and continue through the streets of Port Perry and Prince Albert before returning to the fairgrounds. After completing a half a lap of the track participants will proceed through the Old Simcoe Road exit of the fair- grounds. From there participants will make their way through Prince Albert to King Street to Union Avenue and back towards Port Perry. The run will then head along Water Street to the boat launch area for a trip across the boardwalk and back. The final leg will see the participants travel along North Street to Simcoe Street and along Reach Street, before com- pleting another half a lap of the track. The route for rollerbladers will be slightly different to avoid the track and boat launch areas. The total rollerblade route will be just more than 8 km. The five-km. route will go towards Queen Street, skipping the Prince Albert part of the course. There will be a barbecue fol- lowing the run for all partici- pants. Also during the day four area child care services, Stonemoor Day Care, Utica Day Care, Schoolhouse Playcare and the Early Learning Centre of Durham College, will be holding interest centres for families. Children can take part in many activities at the fairgrounds when par- ticipants return from their runs. Residents are encouraged to come out and support the par- ticipants of the annual run. T- shirts and sweatshirts will also be on sale the day of the event. For more information call Laura Elliott at 985-2571 or 666-6328, or Leo Plue at 986- 4241.
