Make us Truly Thankful For the rich abundance of the land we live, For the golden har- vests, its mighty resources, Its fruitful fields and forests... For the freedom we enjoy... The freedom to speak in praise or criticism, To practice our faith without fear. For the opportunity to grow, To succeed through effort and prosper through work, To broaden and strengthen our lives through imagination and faith...For all these things, that so abundantly enrich ourlives... Make us Truly Thankful! You can count the apples on a tree, but you cannot count the trees in an apple. (African Prov- erb) Nestleton Presbyterian Church Thanksgiving service was held at 11 a.m. in Nestleton Presby- tertan Church, which was nicely decorated with Nature's bounti- ful harvest. Rev. W. Fairley took the ser- vice, and Shirley Scott was or- ganist. Responsive Psalm was #137 and Scripture readings were from Lamentations, Chapt. three and St. Luke 17. In the sermon we were re- minded to keep a spiritual di- mension with out celebration of thankfulness. Lunch and fellowship fol- lowed in the Sunday School Room. We were pleased to see that Rev. William Fairley had the cast removed from his hand -and wish him a good recovery.
