While the ModJacks did place second, they were only one point up on Georgi- na and three on Uxbridge at season's end. The statistics show the ModJacks very well may have held onto that spot by holding their opponents to 126 goals against, second only to the Eagles. The Modacks sported a 3.50 goals against average last season, and will have to rely on veteran goaltender Rick Hutch- inson and experienced blueliners such as Gavin Cochrane, Duane Empring- ham and Scott Heasman to keep that total low again this season. Where the team was lacking last sea- son was in their production level. The Modacks recorded 160 goals for, good for only fourth in the league. Georgina, Bowmanville and Uxbridge topped the local boy's production with fifth place Lakefield only two goals behind. Returning veterans Keith Leslie, who led the team in points last season (36 goals, 26 assists) and was second in the league in scoring will need to pro- duce again as will Todd Dennis (20 goals, 33 assists), who was second in Modack scoring. This duo, combined with returning players such as Mike Pi- geau, Chad Kearns and Todd Stirling, the scoring potential is there. Going All The Way!
