An evolution toward "greener" communities is something we believe most thinking citizens hope for. The only way to succeed on this path is to develop a willingness for different (and sometimes opposing) parties to sit down at the same table to work together in a spirit of cooperation to solve situa- tions and problems that affect all citizens in the community. Scugog's Green Team would like to lay an active and helpful role in the fu- ture of development in our area, and we hope you will recognize that the contri- bution we'd like to make is a positive one for all con- cerned. An "environmen- tally friendly" golf course would set an excellent ex- ample to Scugog residents of how lawns and other outdoor spaces can be maintained in ways that are not toxic to people, wildlife, or the environ- ment.
