The event is to mark the sixth anniversary of the passing of the 1989 all- party House of Commons resolution "...to seek to achieve the goal of elimi- nating poverty among Ca- nadian children by the year 2000." The annual re- port card on child poverty in Canada will be availa- ble at this event. Skits about children liv- ing in poverty will be per- formed by G.L. Roberts and Monsignor John Per- eyma high schools as well as the Whitby Courthouse Theatre youth group. The event is open to all.
